SolidService started servicing SONY television and audio products in 1971 as a division of Solid Industries Inc., which was then the exclusive manufacturer/ distributor of Sony in the Philippines.
In 1982, Solid Electronics Corporation (SEC) also known as SolidService was established as a separate entity to focus on the after-sales service needs of Sony dealers and customers.
In 1997, Sony Philippines (SPH) was established. SolidService continued to serve as SPH’s after sales service network through an exclusive outsourcing arrangement. In 2002, SolidService absorbed the operations of Aiwa’s local service centers at the same time when Sony Japan likewise took over AIWA management worldwide.
In 2008, SolidService entered into a service agreement with its Solid Group affiliate, Solid Broadband Corporation to repair the my|phone brand of mobile phones. In 2010, this agreement was renewed under MySolid Technologies and Devices Inc., the distributor of my|phone.
As of 2010, SolidService has 33 branches nationwide committed to serve you through continuous improvement in network expansion, technical skills training, system enhancement and operational efficiency.
